Le vignoble de M.Chapoutier s'étend sur les coteaux escarpés d'Hermitage, où les sols sont composés de galets roulés, d'argile et de schistes. Ce terroir unique, baigné de soleil et tempéré par le vent du Rhône, favorise une maturation optimale des raisins. Les vignes, âgées de plusieurs décennies, sont cultivées avec soin, dans le respect de la biodiversité. Ce cadre exceptionnel permet à la Marsanne de s'exprimer pleinement, offrant des vins riches et complexes.

Owner and history

The vineyard is situated on the steep slopes of Hermitage, in the Northern Rhône Valley. The Marsanne vines, over 60 years old, are planted in granitic soils rich in mica and schist. This geological diversity gives the wine a unique complexity and minerality. Biodynamic farming, so dear to Michel Chapoutier, ensures an authentic and pure expression of the terroir.

Vinification and aging

Hand-harvested at perfect ripeness
Vinification on fine lees in oak barrels
Raising over a period of 10 to 12 months
