Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure only the finest are selected. After careful destemming, the berries are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature regulation. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, imparting woody and vanilla notes. The aging process, which lasts approximately 12 to 18 months, allows the tannins to soften and the aromas to meld, resulting in a balanced and refined wine.
