    Owner and history

    Château Montrose is unique in that it is a single, contiguous estate in Saint-Estèphe. This allows for a beautiful balance in the wines, as the grapes ripen uniformly. The vines cover 95 hectares on gravelly soil with a clay-marl subsoil.

    Vinification and aging

    The wine is aged for 12 months in 30% new oak barrels. This cuvée represents approximately 40% of Château Montrose's total production.
