This wine pairs wonderfully with milk-fed lamb, turkey skewers, pheasant, or even a ribeye steak.

    Owner and history

Located in the heart of Bordeaux, the capital of Aquitaine, the vineyard covers 6 hectares. The soil is composed of large Günzian gravel, sand, and clay over a limestone base. Its location, close to the city and surrounded by walls, creates a microclimate that promotes optimal grape ripening. The average age of the vines is 40 years.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process at Château les Carmes Haut-Brion 2014:
    - Maceration for 30 days with 15 to 40% whole bunches
    - Aged in 80% new barrels and 16% in 1200-litre oak casks
