Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Georges Vernay is a meticulous process, respecting tradition while incorporating modern techniques. After the grapes are hand-harvested, they are destemmed before being placed in vats for alcoholic fermentation. This stage is followed by extended maceration to extract color, aromas, and tannins. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, adding complexity and roundness while preserving the pure expression of the terroir.
