On the nose, aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and a touch of sweet spice intertwine, evoking the complexity of the terroir. Producer

The Clos des Ursules vineyard is nestled in clay-limestone soils, typical of the Côte de Beaune. These mineral-rich soils impart a unique aromatic complexity to the grapes. The region's temperate climate, with its warm summers and cold winters, promotes optimal ripening of the Pinot Noir. This privileged terroir, bathed in sunlight, yields high-quality berries, essential for the production of this exceptional Premier Cru.

Owner and history

Today, Maison Louis Jadot is run by the Jadot family, who passionately carry on the family tradition. The current owners are committed to respecting the environment and preserving the terroir. They strive to combine innovation with ancestral know-how to produce wines that tell the story of their land. Every decision made at the estate aims to guarantee the quality and authenticity of the wines, while preserving the legacy left by previous generations.

Vinification and aging

The vinification of Clos des Ursules 2021 follows traditional methods, respecting the integrity of the fruit. The grapes, carefully hand-harvested, are destemmed before being placed in vats for a gentle maceration. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, allowing the aromas to fully develop. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, to add a touch of complexity without masking the wine's character. This artisanal method ensures a harmonious wine, rich in nuances.
