The Domaine Faiveley vineyard stretches across well-exposed slopes, benefiting from a temperate climate ideal for growing Chardonnay. The soils, composed of marl and limestone, impart a unique minerality to the wines. Each plot is meticulously tended, respecting the specific characteristics of the terroir, to produce grapes of exceptional quality. The Premier Cru Champ Gain is particularly prized for its rich soil and sun exposure, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop remarkable aromatic complexity.

    Owner and history

Today, Domaine Faiveley is run by the Faiveley family, who perpetuate a savoir-faire passed down through generations. The current owners, Erwan and his father Francis, are committed to preserving and enhancing the Burgundy terroir. They work with passion to produce wines that reflect the identity of each plot. Their vision is to continue making Domaine Faiveley an ambassador for great Burgundy wines, while remaining true to the family heritage and the exceptional quality for which the estate is renowned.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous process, blending tradition with modern techniques. The grapes are harvested by hand and then carefully sorted to retain only the finest fruit. After gentle pressing, the must ferments in oak barrels, imparting subtle aromas and an elegant structure to the wines. Aging lasts between 12 and 18 months, allowing the wines to develop their complexity while preserving the freshness of the Chardonnay. This artisanal approach guarantees wines of great finesse and remarkable depth.
