The vines destined for Château Cos d'Estournel Blanc flourish on the hills above the village of Saint-Estèphe, in clay-limestone and sandy soils particularly well-suited to the expression of white grape varieties. Located not far from the ocean and the estuary, they benefit from a cool microclimate, ideal for preserving acidity and tension in the grapes. The vines are cultivated using sustainable farming practices, with meticulous attention paid to every intervention. This approach allows the expression of the terroir to be magnified and results in a wine of exceptional precision.

Owner and history

The estate has belonged to Michel Reybier since 2000. A visionary entrepreneur, he breathed new life into Cos d'Estournel by modernizing the technical facilities while respecting the terroir's values of excellence. His ambition is clear: to elevate each vintage to the ranks of the world's greatest wines, whether red or white. Under his leadership, the estate has honed its winemaking precision, particularly in the production of Cos d'Estournel Blanc, now one of Bordeaux's finest dry white wines. His commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment shape each vintage with rigor and passion.

Vinification and aging

At Château Cos d'Estournel, the vinification of the white wine is carried out with the same rigor as that of the emblematic reds. After manual harvesting in small crates, the grapes are gently pressed and vinified separately in barrels.
Château Cos d'Estournel Blanc 2024 is aged for 8 months on fine lees, with regular stirring to enrich the texture. This method promotes the wine's complexity and harmony while preserving its natural freshness.
