Last updated: 31/10/2025
Cavissima Groupe, and its subsidiaries Cavissima SAS and Cavissima Grands Crus SAS, are committed to protecting personal data. They implement a continuous improvement approach to ensure their compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive, and French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties (Informatique et Libertés) to guarantee the highest level of protection for your personal data. For further information on personal data protection, you can also consult the website of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL). www.cnil.fr.
Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
The data controller is the company that determines for what purpose and how your personal data is used. Personal data collected on the websites Cavissima are jointly handled by:
The companies in the Cavissima group:
- Cavissima SAS 790169882 RCS Bordeaux;
- Cavissima Grands Crus SAS 515348399 RCS Bordeaux;
- Cavissima Group 515348399 RCS Bordeaux.
Address: 61-63 rue du Docteur Albert Barraud, 33000 Bordeaux.
Hereinafter referred to collectively as “CAVISSIMA”.
CAVISSIMA is the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Isabelle Daussun. She can be contacted by email via the contact form.
Why does CAVISSIMA collect my personal data?
CAVISSIMA uses your personal data primarily for the following purposes:
Order and Customer Relationship Management
We need information about you for the management of your orders and their follow-up (for example, deliveries, invoices, accounting and in particular customer account management, management of the CAVISSIMA loyalty program, customer relationship monitoring such as conducting satisfaction surveys, handling complaints and after-sales service, selecting customers to carry out studies, surveys and product tests).
Payment for your orders or subscriptions
When you pay on our websites, your payments are secure. CAVISSIMA does not collect your payment details, only a payment identifier and part of your bank card number to allow you to recognize the card used for the last payment. All of your bank details are collected solely by our PCI-DSS certified payment service provider (a banking security standard), which guarantees payment security.
Payment upon purchase
When you pay for an order, the card details used for payment are kept for the time necessary to complete the transaction, which can be up to 15 months from the date of payment, in order to guarantee proof of the transaction.
Save your bank card details for your future purchases
If you have agreed to save your bank card to facilitate future purchases, your card is registered in our bank's system under your CAVISSIMA account number and stored for this purpose for the card's validity period, unless you decide to delete this data. You can indeed delete your bank card details at any time by simply submitting a written request.
The personalization of our services and the messages we send you
The data we collect about you allows us to improve and personalize the services we offer and the communications we send you. For example, when you browse our website, we may recommend products similar to those you have already purchased or viewed, and which match your interests. These purposes may involve segmentation or profiling techniques.
Third-party sales prospecting
Your contact details and profile information may be shared with advertising agencies or business partners for marketing purposes.
Email and SMS: Marketing emails and SMS messages from partners are not sent without your consent.
Telephone and mail: Regarding postal or telephone marketing by partners, you can object to it at any time by notifying us with a simple written request.
Fight against Fraud
The personal data collected on the website is also processed to secure payments and deliveries, thus ensuring optimal service quality. CAVISSIMA determines the fraud risk level associated with each order using a fraud detection system based on both an algorithm (automated decision-making) and human analysis. The analysis algorithm takes into account various parameters such as the purchase amount, the product category, and the existence of a previous incident. Depending on the results of the order checks, CAVISSIMA may take security measures, including requesting additional supporting documentation. These measures may result in the suspension of the order or, if the analysis does not guarantee the order's security, its cancellation. Fraudulent use of a payment method or delivery fraud will result in the order data being recorded in CAVISSIMA's alert file, which may lead CAVISSIMA to conduct further checks on future orders.
The security of our site
We collect certain browsing data to enable us to ensure the security of our services and to detect, prevent or trace any malicious attempt or computer intrusion or any violation of the terms of use of our Services.
Customer knowledge and statistics and performance of our site
We may use data to better understand our customers or for statistical purposes to analyze our website activity and improve the services we offer. We analyze customer journeys, conduct audience measurements, and, for example, measure the number of page views, the number of website visits, as well as visitor activity on the site and their return frequency.

These service messages are necessary for the proper execution of the orders and services you have requested. The legal basis for this processing is the contract. Receiving this information is not related to your preferences regarding newsletters and promotional offers. These newsletters keep you informed about CAVISSIMA news and the benefits you can enjoy on products or services similar to those you have already ordered. The legal basis for this processing is CAVISSIMA's legitimate interest. We measure the open rate of our emails to better tailor them to your needs. You can manage your preferences at any time by simply submitting a written request or by clicking the unsubscribe link in our newsletters.
Satisfaction surveys or product feedback requests
Following a purchase on our website, we may request your feedback via email questionnaires. These satisfaction surveys or requests for feedback may be sent by approved partners. The legal basis for this processing is CAVISSIMA's legitimate interest. You can object to these surveys or requests for feedback directly in the emails sent to you or by notifying us in writing.
Newsletters from the "Partners"

You can object to our marketing communications at any time by contacting us via the contact form mentioned below in the Contact section. If you are registered on the BLOCTEL opt-out list, your number will be removed from our files as soon as possible.
From August 1, 2026, unless you have opted out, you may be contacted by our operators to offer you products and services similar to those you have already purchased on the site. Any further telemarketing calls must be preceded by your free, specific, informed, unambiguous, and revocable consent.

Shelf life
Most of your data (for example, your customer account information and order history) is kept as long as you are an "active" customer and for a period of 3 years from your last activity (for example, a purchase, logging into your account, or the expiry of a contract). Your data is then archived with restricted access for an additional period for limited reasons permitted by law (payment, warranty, disputes, etc.). After this period, it is deleted.
Who are the recipients of my data?
Data transmission to subcontractors
The data we collect may be transmitted to service providers (subcontractors) – whom CAVISSIMA uses to carry out its services within the framework of the purposes mentioned above, for example for the management, execution, processing, payment of your orders, as well as for marketing operations.
Some processing of your data may be outsourced to the holding company 360Wine SAS, to which the Cavissima group belongs.
