    The new cellar

In the lands of Ribera del Duero

The beginning ofVivaltuSis the result of the purchase of a new wine cellar inCuriel de Duero in Spain.Seeing the quality and potential of the surrounding vineyards, this ambitious family decided to invest in this winery in order to join the prestigious vineyards of theRibera del Duero.

The Yllera family currently heads the Yllera Group, which has been producing wine for six generations. Two passionate brothers, Marcos and Carlos Yllera, manage the company. In 2016, the family acquired this new winery carved into the mountainside. Unfortunately, the health crisis prevented its opening, and it remained closed for several years.

Today, the family has been able to invest in new machinery and develop new infrastructure. Furthermore, given the high value of the wines produced in the region, the two brothers decided to seek out one of the best winemakers. Their meeting with Jean-Claude Berrouet, one of the most renowned figures in the wine world, led to the 2016 vintage, VivaltuS's first. Pepe Yllera and Jesús Yllera were the first wines produced.
