Located in the Pauillac appellation, on the left bank of the Médoc, Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande is one of Bordeaux's most iconic gems . Classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 classification, this estate is distinguished by the elegance of its wines, often described as feminine and refined. It takes its name from a prominent figure, Virginie de Pichon Longueville, Countess of Lalande , who left her mark on the château's history. Today, the estate combines heritage, meticulous winemaking, and modern techniques to produce some of Pauillac's most sought-after wines, such as La Réserve de La Comtesse , its second wine.

Tasting notes
Réserve de La Comtesse 2019 boasts a deep ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose is intense, revealing notes of ripe black fruit, cedar, and vanilla. On the palate, the attack is ample, structured by fine, silky tannins and supported by a lovely freshness. The persistent finish reveals a pleasant touch of oak and a signature typical of the Pauillac terroir, a balance of controlled power and elegance.
