The Domaine de La Pousse d'Or spans approximately 17 hectares of vineyards, spread across prestigious villages such as Volnay, Pommard, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Puligny-Montrachet. The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard benefits from optimal exposure, where deep clay-limestone soils offer a perfect expression of Pinot Noir. This unique terroir imparts a power balanced by a beautiful minerality, bringing elegance and longevity to each vintage.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2021 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru respects Burgundian traditions while incorporating precise techniques to preserve the purity of the fruit and the authenticity of the terroir. The hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted before a gentle and controlled fermentation in open vats. The wine is then aged for 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart a beautiful tannic structure and allow for harmonious development. This approach, combined with biodynamic farming practices, gives the wine exceptional aging potential, allowing it to develop its full complexity over time.
