    Producer

The Château Marquis de Terme vineyard stretches across clay-gravel soils, typical of the Margaux appellation. These well-drained soils allow the grapes to ripen fully while preserving their freshness. The region's oceanic climate, with its temperature variations, contributes to the aromatic richness of the grape varieties. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated with care, following environmentally friendly practices. This results in high-quality grapes that fully express the terroir's potential.

    Owner and history

Château Marquis de Terme is currently owned by the Cazes family, who have breathed new life into the estate since their acquisition. Passionate about winemaking and committed to sustainable practices, they have modernized the winery while respecting winemaking traditions. Their goal is to produce high-quality wines that reflect the terroir of Margaux. Thanks to their expertise and love of wine, they perpetuate the château's heritage while exploring new avenues to improve production. This passion is evident in every bottle, offering wine lovers an authentic and memorable experience.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Marquis de Terme is carried out with meticulous care. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure only the finest are selected. After careful destemming, alcoholic fermentation begins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature regulation. Aging takes place in oak barrels, a percentage of which are new, to impart a touch of oak without masking the purity of the fruit. This aging process lasts approximately 12 months, during which the wine develops its complexity and elegance. Each step is executed with painstaking attention, reflecting the estate's commitment to excellence.
