Owner and history

Today, the Château de Pez is owned by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) group, which acquired the domaine in 1995. Under their leadership, the domaine has successfully revitalized its image while preserving the authenticity of its wines. The current owners are committed to respecting traditions while integrating modern winemaking practices. Their dedication to quality is reflected in every bottle, offering wine lovers an unforgettable experience that showcases Bordeaux's expertise.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process Château de Pez is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modernity. The grapes, carefully hand-harvested, are destemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This method allows for precise temperature control and the extraction of the berries' delicate aromas. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 16 months. This aging process adds further complexity and subtle woody notes that enrich the wine's aromatic profile. Every step of the winemaking process is carried out with passion and respect for the terroir.
