            The history of the Estate

            Family, tradition and passion

            Pierre CottonHe studied in the Loire region near Rablay-sur-Layon, learning from natural winemakers in the Loire Valley. He then returned to work at the family estate alongside his father, Guy, and began a conversion toorganicHe is taking on an increasingly important role, from the vineyard to the winemaking process and marketing. He brings a modern touch to the family estate and draws inspiration from his experience in the Loire Valley. He decided to make his own wines and began producing his cuvées in 2014 in Côte de Brouilly under his own name. In 2018, Marine Bonnet joined the estate. This young Beaujolais winemaker seeks to promote the beauty of her region's terroirs and follows in the footsteps of Jules Métras and Yann Bertrand.

            By taking over his father's vineyard, the winemaker possesses a true understanding of the terroir he vinifies. The estate covers 10 hectares, 5 of which are onCôte de BrouillyThe estate and its neighbors are committed to an organic approach, but not only that! They do not use insecticides and practice...permacultureIn addition to planting cover crops between the vines, they replant trees in the vineyard to enrich biodiversity and the soil. Wines made from purchased grapes list the winegrowers on the back label. This demonstrates the winemaker's commitment to transparency. They work with winegrowers who respect their environment to produce the finest Beaujolais wines. Respect for the terroir allows them to create vibrant and authentic wines.

            Gamay, the king of Beaujolais

            The wines are made using indigenous yeasts via carbonic maceration in cement vats. The wines are aged in large oak casks in a vast and magnificent cellar that houses both casks and barrels – to showcase the very rich terroir ofCôte de Brouilly,The winemaker decided to create single-vineyard wines, respecting the boundaries of the plots. WithCotton GridsHe selects Gamay grapes with impeccable sun exposure, vinified naturally and aged for 11 months in large oak casks. The vines are over 60 years old! - 100% Cotton reveals the winemaker's style through a precise and profound cuvée: we love it!Fleurie PonciéThis is a climate recently cultivated by the estate. This new plot offers a floral and elegant cuvée, reflecting the character of this magnificent appellation.
