It is in the Chalosse wine region that Madiran wines truly come into their own. These great wines, made from the king of grapes, Tannat, offer deep and vibrant red wines with aromas of raspberry and cocoa. A true wine for aging, Madiran can be cellared for up to 20 years. However, some are also enjoyable in their youth; they are round and fruity and pair wonderfully with typical regional dishes such as duck confit or a traditional cassoulet.
